Established in 1992, ISIN Lanka Pvt Ltd is a board of investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) registered company. The company operates a state-of-the-art textile spinning mill located about 35 km from the capital city of Colombo. Indorama Lanka is the largest spinning plant in Sri Lanka.
ISIN Lanka produces premium quality textile spun yarn, both cotton and synthetic, for high-end textile market. The products are sold to its buyers in Europe, North America, South America, Middle East and Asia and the company has created a name for itself in the competitive textile market.
The plant produces 100 per cent rayon yarn, 100 per cent cotton yarn, 100 per cent polyester yarns and poly cotton and poly rayon blending with count range of Ne 10 to Ne 40.
ISIN Lanka is very particular about the quality of products and all raw materials are subject to stringent scrutiny. Raw material is imported mainly from the USA, Australia, Thailand, Turkey and Indonesia.
ISIN Lanka is strategically located within 13 shipment days to Europe and 21 shipment days to the USA and benefits from the quota-free access for spun and blended yarn to the E.U. and the US market. ISIN Lanka complements Indorama’s Indonesian operations by reaching customers not easily accessible from Indonesia.
ISIN Lanka has achieved a milestone by obtaining a license from the Control Union World Group of the Netherlands to produce organic cotton products in Sri Lanka, the only company in Sri Lanka to have achieved this distinction. The International Labor Organisation has commended ISIN Lanka for the high quality living accommodation provided to the company's women employees.
The curent installed capacity is about 35,000 spindles.
