Indorama Synthetics commissions compact yarn spinning plant

August 5th, 2008

Indorama Synthetics have recently commissioned a brand new state-of-the-art compact yarn spinning plant of 26,000 spindles at the Purwakarta site. The total capacity now stands close to 450,000 spindles across the world.

All major equipment have been supplied by the world’s most respected manufacturers in Europe and Japan. Compact spinning is a relatively new technology developed by Rieter of Switzerland and offers customers cotton yarns with very low hairiness. This in effect brings about significant savings to customers, as they do not have to follow the process of singeing the yarns after making the fabric. The compact spinning process also makes available to discerning customers a very high quality yarn with remarkably low imperfections.

We believe our new compact spinning plant will establish a new standard for yarns made in Indonesia, and deliver nothing less than the best possible cotton yarns in the world.
